Late in the darkness
I walk through God
to get to you.
Within me yet elusive,
you've resided in my heart
long before we met.
My capacity for altruism
shows in your eyes
and I am like
an angry torrid child
with forgotten candy
clutched in her hand.
I can hear your smile
and see your sorrow.
I shower with my tears
and laugh in light memories,
the sum of which
is my massive desire.
